About KESSOT

Founded in 2015 as Kenya Plaster Technician Association (KPTA) and then later in 2018 as, the Kenya Society of Orthotrauma Technologists (KESOTT) emerged from a collective vision to advance orthopaedic and trauma care in Kenya and East Africa. Recognizing the need for specialized education and continuous professional development, a group of dedicated technologists united to establish an organization committed to excellence in orthotrauma healthcare. Since our inception, we have been at the forefront of providing high-quality training and fostering a community of professionals passionate about elevating patient care standards.

2017 - 2018: Establishment

KESOTT was officially established, bringing together orthopaedic technologists to collaborate, share knowledge, and enhance their skills.

We expanded our reach, increasing membership and extending our services across Kenya and East Africa.

2009: Introduction of Casting Courses

We introduced specialized casting courses, providing technologists with essential skills in orthopaedic procedures.

Our mentorship initiatives began, offering guidance and support to emerging professionals in the field.

We broadened our mentorship programs, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
